The Resource Exchange is a collaborative effort to harness and share all that we know as it relates to dementia. Like Wikipedia, the Resource Exchange is a wiki, in that any of our community members can write or edit a page on this section of www.dementiaknowledgebroker.ca. We're excited to be the first of it's kind in the dementia sector!
The Resource Exchange can be edited by anyone in our community so content will continue to evolve and change frequently. Each edit can be seen on our list of recent edits, which will be reviewed daily by the CDRAKE Team and a group of volunteer editors. Most of the edits made on any given day will be helpful, however, any poor edits will be quickly reverted. In this way, articles in the Resource Exchange will improve over time, as more and more people contribute their unique knowledge and skills.
Not only will the Resource Exchange articles be written and maintained by our community, articles can be shared with as many people around the world as possible. Our Creative Commons license allows the Resource Exchange articles to be used freely by any organization or person for any non-commercial purpose1. Allowing free republication of our content helps achieve our mission by sharing knowledge to assist those working to improve the lives of persons with dementia and their care partners.
At the core of the Resource Exchange is our community. We hope you will write and edit articles so we can capture all the valuable knowledge that resides in this sector. If you'd like to help out, getting started is easy. We need authors to start new articles, editors to fix typos, add photos, pick videos, correct inaccuracies, and patrol recent changes. If you would like to help, click Learn, Write or Share above.
If you would like to join our volunteer editing team, please editor [at] dementiaknowledgebroker [dot] ca (contact us).
